The new coach admitted that working with the Russian national team is a big challenge for him. At the moment, Capello sees the Russian national team in the World Cup to Brazil as his main goal. Despite Russia falling into an uneasy group along with Portugal, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Ireland, Israel and Norway, Capello believes the Russian team will manage to qualify for the to the World Cup.

The new coach will work with six assistants. Among them are five foreigners and one Russian specialist, Andrei Talalayev is expected to become them.

Under the preliminary arrangement, Fabio Capello will live in Moscow, but his contract includes spending on frequent flights to Italy. The contract is for two years with the possibility of further extension for the same period. The salary of the new coach of the Russian national football team, taking into account bonuses, will be between 5 and 10 million euros a year.
