Breeders bred repairant varieties of raspberries, strawberries and roses. Even more recently, gardeners and gardeners were disappointed with the new varieties. In the middle strip of Russia and in northern latitudes, all newly planted outlandish plants have become extinct. This situation occurred because breeding work was carried out in warm countries.
Currently, Russian breeders managed to bring out varieties of raspberries, strawberries and roses resistant to harsh Russian conditions. With the right agricultural machinery of cultivation and preparation of planting for winter, all varieties winter well and delight in their abundant harvest and long period of fruiting and flowering.
The most important difference between remontant plants and conventional varieties is that the first berries of raspberries and strawberries appear at the very beginning of summer. Harvesting ends only with the onset of sustained frosts. Flowers and berries form not only on mother plants, but also on daughters, allowing harvesting almost continuously.
In mid-summer the yield of repairant varieties decreases slightly, but already by the end of August again sharply increases.
In order to harvest from repairant varieties for a long time, it is necessary to ensure optimal conditions for this purpose. Particular attention should be paid to the composition and fertility of the soil, as well as watering. It is
possible to preserve varietal signs of remontant strawberries only when providing a vegetative method of reproduction by rosettes or fission of the bush. The same rule must be observed when propagating raspberries and roses. The
seed mode of reproduction is used in specialized nurseries to bring out new repairant varieties.
