What cant be done in Ramadan

Fasting (“uraza”) is necessary for every Muslim to strengthen himself in self-discipline and his faith. Worshippers devote daytime during Ramadan to prayers, recitation of the Quran, reflection, pious deeds and work. In addition, after the fifth prayer, another, supplementary prayer namaz (tarawih) is performed.

In the light of the day you cannot eat food, quench your thirst, inhale tobacco smoke. At night restrictions are removed, but the fasting menu must be strict, entertainment and excesses cannot be indulged. Even permitted food needs to be eaten in as small quantities as possible, as fasting aims to reduce carnal urges. Many start eating different delicacies in the dark time of day, increase the amount of eaten food — in this case the purpose of fasting is lost, the benefit of it will not be.

To feel joy and reward at the end of fasting, a believer must experience real hunger. Restrictions on eating in Ramadan do not apply only to pregnant and nursing women, the seriously ill, children and people on their way or hard work. These are the most obvious prohibitions, many know about them. But in addition to these, there are other, equally important, bans in Ramadan.

Try to avoid looking at forbidden places, these are any objects that distract the mind from the remembrance of Allah. Even your wife is not worth looking at with lust without talking about other women. Also banned places in which evil is committed.

Need to avoid unnecessary disputes, unnecessary conversations, lies, malevolence, oaths, jokes, etc. Libel and malevolence — great sins and non-compliance with this ban can make leaking fast more severe. Malice is talk of a man behind his back that he would not have liked. It is hard to keep from this sin even the rightwing Muslims, but it is necessary to strive for it all the time. It is also a sin and hearing these kinds of conversations.
