Overheating in a stuffy room or in the heat on the street, the body for a while tries to stabilize its temperature independently by cooling the skin. And it happens thanks to enhanced sweating. However, this process quickly causes dehydration, which is characterized by the following symptoms.
Due to the large loss of fluid during overheating, strong thirst and dryness of the mucous develops. Changes also undergo internal environment of the body, because with then comes out not only moisture, but also beneficial salts. This leads to impaired water-salt balance and blood clotting. As a result, an increased load on the cardiovascular system is created: pulse and heartbeat increases, blood circulation slows.
The deficiency in the body of fluid, as well as the deterioration of blood supply to all cells with oxygen and the release of them from carbon dioxide, cause disruption of central nervous system activity. This is manifested by increasing weakness, dizziness and headache.
The above symptoms are harbingers of heat stroke. When the body temperature rises to a critical level, there is pain in the head, back, legs, nausea, vomiting, redness and redness of the face, the cores have a sharp increase in pressure. In the absence of first aid, overheating of the body ends with pallor, drop in pressure, fainting, convulsions, and in severe cases, fatal.
All symptoms of heat stroke develop within minutes. Therefore, if someone in the visible environment began to behave inappropriately, it is necessary to immediately give first aid, namely unzip clothes, provide access to fresh air or deceive the victim and moisten his body with cool water. More often than not, this is enough to make body temperature recover quickly. However, further supervision of the doctor is still necessary, because fatalities are known in a few hours after overheating.
