How to cook potato pies with beans

You’ll need
    • 500g potatoes;
  • 200g beans;
  • 1 small bulb;
  • 3-4 garlic cloves;
  • 1 egg;
  • 2 tsp slaked soda;
  • salt and pepper;
  • vegetable oil;
  • Provence herbs.
Instruction
1

Cook the potato dough. Peel the raw potatoes and rub on a grater or else grind in a blender. If the potatoes are very starchy, put the mass in the gauze and wring the excess liquid. Mix the potatoes with flour in a bowl, there add soda slaked with vinegar, or other baking powder. Break the egg into the same container. Salt, stir with a wooden shoulder, and then knead the dough with dry hands. If desired, the basis of potato dough can be made and mashed. To do this, boil the potatoes first, and then add flour, eggs and other components to it.

2

Take the stuffing. Beans can be any – white or red, the main thing – not to choose a pod. If you bought dry beans, soak it in warm water before cooking. When it swells a little, transfer to salted boiling water and cook until soft. Canned beans can also be used. Choose canned food in your own juice, without tomatoes, corn and other additives. Put the finished beans in a bowl and disperse until puree.

3

The

bulb peel and finely cut. Roast it in preheated vegetable oil for 3-4 minutes. Then add the chopped garlic to the pan, cook for another 2-3 minutes. Put this mixture to the beans, salt and pepper, pour the dried Provence herbs, stir everything. Try the stuffing. It should turn out sharp enough to shade the fresh taste of potatoes.

4

From the potato dough form thick pancakes. In the center of each, put the filling and then roll them so that the patty turns out. Protect the edges. Grease the baking tray with oil, lay patties on it. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Put the tray in there for at least 20 minutes. Ready patties should be covered with a blush crust. Serve the snack hot, accompanied by a bowl with fresh sour cream.
