How to cook beetroot cutlets

You’ll need

Take a medium-sized beet – about with a man’s fist, wash it well with a brush. Place in an enameled pan, pour cold water so that the vegetables are completely closed by it.


Close the dishes with a lid and set to cook. After boiling the liquid, add 1 tablespoon of sugar sand and stir it in boiling water. Then make a slow fire and stir. Sugar helps the root vegetable retain its beautiful crimson color and also gives it a sweeter flavor.


Cook the beetroot 40-50 min until fully softened. At this time, prepare ingredients that can be added to the cutlets. They can be changed from time to time so that the taste of the dish does not arrive. Eggs, semolina, breadcrumbs and cooking oil will come in handy anyway. If the first and second are needed for a bundle of all components, the second and third are necessary for roasting products.


Several are suitable as separately added products. Like garlic. Divide the garlic head into slices, peel each and grind with a garlic crush. In this case, add the manka to the mass for the cutlets in dry form.


Or raisins. Rinse the berries thoroughly and boil them for 10 min in milk. Then put the necessary amount of manka in there. Put raisins in cutlets without combusting.


Replace raisins with prunes or apricots. Similarly, rinse and cook them. Only without the manka, as they will have to be cut into small pieces. And bring a golden roasted onion there.


For example, even cottage cheese fits. It goes perfectly with garlic. Instead of milk, sour cream and butter will suit here.


Meat cutlets with beetroot are as follows: combine the hepatic minced meat with beetroot in 1/1 proportions. Mincemeat can be pork, beef or bird. If you add buckwheat porridge instead of manka, they will become a therapeutic food against anemia, as they will contain a lot of iron. Only you need to fry them longer, since they are meat.


If the dish is prepared for children, it is possible to add sugar sand to the cutlet mass. Only in this case do not use additives other than cottage cheese. Because they don’t combine with sugar.


When the beets are cooled after cooking, peel it, scroll on a grinder or rub on a fine grater. And add selected ingredients. And add to them those that are immutable: eggs and manka. Salt the cutlets.


Then shape the cutlets by hand and rub them in breadcrumbs or in flour. Now put on a red-hot pan and fry in vegetable oil for 3-6 min. Beet cutlets are ready. Serve them with sour cream.
