You will need
- your Android device.
In the security settings of your device, clear the check box for “Installation of applications from unknown sources”.
Do not use any app stores other than Google Play (albeit with applications installed from here need to be neat. Unfortunately, there are known cases of poor quality programs in Google Play).
Before downloading the program, look at its rating. Avoid low-rated apps. They may turn out to be substandard. And be sure to put your estimate after at least a week’s use of the new app – to help its future users.
When installing a new application, read what the program requires, which permission is necessary for her. Analyze the permissions required by the application and its assignments. For example, does the video player need access to your messages?
Forward all concerns about checking the vulnerability of installed applications and their authenticity to a special security program for Android. Some antiviruses for Android contain features to protect both from viruses and from fake sites, and also include tools like “Anti-Thief” to help you find a lost or stolen device.
