Pisch in the groin: what is this pathology and why does it arise?
The cone that jumped into the groin region is a sign of the development of the inflammatory process in the lymph node. This disease was called lymphadenitis, and the reasons for its occurrence are as follows:
– hidden infection;
– the course of an inflammatory or malignant process in the body.
However, it’s not always that scary. The lymph node in the inguinal region can increase and after a slight overvoltage of the lymph system, but only in the absence of soreness.
Venereal diseases often cause the increase in lymph nodes in the inguinal region. In the absence of accidental sexual relations, it is necessary to submit blood for analysis and look for another cause of the deviation.
Are the reasons for the appearance of cones in the groin in men and women the same?
In addition to inflammatory and tumor processes, the cause of increased lymph nodes in the inguinal region can be a variety of sexual infections, HIV and AIDS. In men, the appearance of a cone in the groin could provoke testicular cancer, in women – benign cysts.
Kidney stones, lipomas, allergic reactions, hernias, hypothermia of the lower torso can also be causes of enlarged lymph nodes in both men and women. If the cones do not disappear, but increase further, causing pain, it is necessary to consult a doctor as soon as possible.
Ways to eliminate the cone in the groin
Setting the exact cause of deviation is the first step to a successful treatment. If the appearance of the cone was accompanied by pain and itching in the genital area, nausea, vomiting, pain at the bottom of the abdomen and when urinating, it is necessary to inform the specialist about it.
An inguinal hernia, whose symptoms are similar to those in increasing the lymphoknot, is usually found in men. The development of the disease accompanies pain of varying intensity.
Based on the available clinical picture and test results, the doctor prescribes appropriate treatment. So, if the cause of the appearance of a cone in the groin was an inflammatory process, the patient will be prescribed anti-inflammatory and antihistamines.
If the causing factor was a tumor, the patient will be offered surgery to remove it. The same goes for the inguinal hernia, the drug treatment of which has not yet been invented.
It happens that lymph nodes in the groin increase after leg injuries or as a result of fungal lesion to the foot. In this case, they are driven to normal just as infectious diseases are treated.
The danger of untreated lymphadenitis consists in its transition to a purulent form. And if at first the enlarged lymph nodes did not cause discomfort, in the absence of treatment they will become painful, and the skin covering them will turn red and the local temperature will rise.
