Bile acids correct the disorders associated with bile formation, which often occur with chronic pancreatitis. The enzyme hemicellulase helps the assimilation of plant fiber, thereby improving digestion.

Festal is prescribed in chronic pancreatitis, in case of pathological conditions, which manifest the violation of the process of digesting food, tendency to constipation, flatulence. The product is used together with other medicines in the therapy of diffuse liver diseases (toxic and alcoholic lesions) and cirrhosis, in the case of disorders of biliary tract, accompanied by a violation of the circulation of bile acids, in dysbacteriosis, in violation of regulation of the processes of formation and separation of bile in chronic duodenitis, chronic gastritis, chronic gastritis cholecystite. Festal is prescribed for normalization of digestion and digestion of food when changing the diet, in a sedentary lifestyle, in case of disruption of chewing function.

Side effects and contraindications to the use


Festal can cause the following adverse effects: nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, allergic reactions (teariness, sneezing, redness of the skin). With long-term use of high doses, it is possible to increase the content of uric acid in the blood and in the urine. Children may develop irritation of mucous mouth, irritation in the anus region. Festal is contraindicated in exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis, acute pancreatitis, liver failure, hepatitis, gall-stone disease, propensity to diarrhea, mechanical jaundice, intestinal impenetrability.

Festal is prescribed with care in pregnancy, cystic fibrosis.

Festal cannot be given to children under the age of three.
