“Doxycycline” is part of the group of antibiotches, the basis of which is tetracycline. The trade name of the drug and the international generic are the same: “Doxycycline” (DOXYCYCLIN). It is produced as solid cylindrical dark green opaque capsules with a dosage of 100 mg, inside which is yellow powder. The active substance of the drug is doxycycline (doxycycline hydrochloride). Alginic acid, sodium lauryl sulfate, lactose, magnesium stearate, corn starch are used as excipients in the drug.

The capsules are packed in a customized cardboard box with two blisters of 5 tablets in each with the attached instructions for use.

“ Doxycycline” is active in relation to pathogens of diseases such as plague, tularemia, brucellosis, anthrax, cholera, sap, chlamydia, including venereal granuloma. “Doxycycline” of lesser known antibiotics affects the flora of the gut, has high therapeutic efficacy compared to other antibacterial agents. Quickly absorbed into the body and penetrates organs and tissues. It can accumulate in the reticulo-endothelial system as well as in bone tissue. It should be noted that “Doxycycline” forms insoluble complexes of C2 in bones and teeth.

Indications for use

Also “Doxycycline” is effective for preventing possible inflammation after medical abortion.

Contraindications

Do not recommend the use of “Doxycycline” in hypersensitivity to components of the drug, in particular to doxycycline and tetracycline, as well as in liver or kidney failure, lupus erythematosus, porphyria, leukopenia and in childhood under three years.$

Use of “Doxycycline” during pregnancy and lactation is only possible if treatment with other alternative, safer drugs impossible or contraindicated.

Method of use and dosage

The dosage and duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Adults up to 70 kg and children with a weight above 45 kg the recommended dose is 100 mg (1 tablet) 2 times in the first day of treatment every 12 hours. 3atem should go to 50 mg 2 times a day or one tablet once a day. For severe forms of disease, it is recommended to take 200 mg per day throughout the course of treatment. Adults with a body weight of more than 70 kg are prescribed 200 mg (2 tablets) per day. In gonorrhea, 600 mg (6 tablets) of “Doxycycline” are taken in two doses at intervals of 1 hour. The course of treatment in this case is 1 day. Or 2 tablets 2 times a day for 7 days.

You can’t combine Doxycycline with alcoholic beverages.

100 mg of “Doxycycline” 2 times a day for 7-10 days is prescribed in the treatment of urinary tract infections.

In syphilis, the recommended dose is 100 mg 2 times daily for two weeks for an early stage. To treat late syphilis, you need to take 1 tablet 2 times in knocks for four weeks.
