Pharmacological properties

The drug has an anti-inflammatory and diuretic effect due to its constituent plant extracts. Increases blood supply in the kidneys and urinary tract, and reduces the content of calcium, hydroxyproline and oxalic acid in the urine, which reduces the probability of formation of nodules in urinary system.

Under the action of components of the drug, disintegration of nodules occurs, leading to their softening and demineralization. Cystone has a spasmodic effect, which significantly alleviates the painful conditions that occur in disuric events. In addition, antimicrobial effect of the drug on Gram-negative microorganisms is noted.

The drug affects mucin, which fastens fine particles of sand, stones and crystals, which causes microding of urinary nodules and promotes their removal from the body.

Active components

of the drug are Didymocarpus stalk, tongue-stone, heart-leaved marena, film rash , straw color rough, multi-leaf onosma, ash vernonia, silicon lime, and purified mineral resin.

Indications for use

The drug Ciston is prescribed for litolysis of the nodules formed by urates and uric acid (oxalate and phosphate stones). In complex therapy, the drug is used to treat diseases of the urinary system with infectious etiology (non-specific pyelitis, urethritis, cystitis).

During the period of post-operative treatment, the drug is prescribed to prevent the formation of nodules. The drug is also used to treat sialolithiasis, gout and urinary incontinence.


Children 2-6 years – on 0.5 tablets, 6-14 years – on 1, adults and children over 14 years – on 2 tablets of Cyston per reception. For litolysis of nodules, the drug is taken 2 times a day until the moment of complete removal of stones from the body. In the treatment of urinary tract infections, the drug is taken 3 times a day, with the course of treatment being 6-12 weeks.

Side effects: harmful cases may result in the reaction of individual intolerance of the components of the drug.


The drug can be taken during pregnancy.
