How to cook homemade tortilla

You will need
  • – 250 g flour;
  • – 30 g flour for cakes;
  • – a pinch of salt;
  • – 60 g butter;
  • – 160 ml water.

In the bowl mix both types of flour and salt.

In another bowl melt butter.

Mix water with oil and pour into flour. Knead homogeneous elastic dough, if necessary, pouring a little flour.

Ready dough cover with a towel and leave for an hour to make it rested.

Divide the dough into 8 equal parts, form balls from them.

Roll out the balls into tortillas with a diameter of 19 cm. Flours on the work surface can’t be filled too much, otherwise the tortillas will be too crispy and crumbly.

In a pan without oil, fry tortillas on each side for 20 seconds . Use them to prepare meals immediately.
