There are quite a lot of options on how you can cook an antiseptic yourself. Any recipe will need a capacity with a convenient dispenser, possibly a used bottle of the purchased sanitizer, or other bottles with spray (for liquid antiseptic) or without sprayer (for gel).
The classic antiseptic prescription necessarily contains medical alcohol, as according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization at a high level eliminate microorganisms only alcohol compositions in concentration of 70 -90%. Both ethyl and isopropyl alcohol can be used. At the same time, it should make up at least 70% of the total volume of prepared antiseptic. To prepare this reliable antiseptic you will need to mix 250 ml alcohol, 5 ml glycerol, 15 ml of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 5 ml of boiled water.
Since pure alcohol is difficult to buy, instead of it you can use aseptoline, calendula tincture, salicylic acid, cologne or any alcohol solution with content alcohol at least 70%. For a recipe with calendula tincture, we will need 50 ml of the tincture itself, 1 teaspoon of glycerol, 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and 5 drops of essential oil to give flavor. Adding dyes to antiseptics is not recommended, as they can color the skin of the hands or cause an allergic reaction.
For gel antiseptic, you can mix 2 parts of medical alcohol with 1 part of cosmetic gel aloe vera.
Products based on vodka cannot be considered as full-fledged antiseptics, as vodka has only 40% alcohol. However, in case of infusions with higher alcohol content, it can also be used, although the effect will not be 100%. For one of the recipe options you need to mix 5 tablespoons of vodka, one tablespoon of water and chlorhexidine and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Another option: 350 ml of vodka, 15 ml of hydrogen peroxide and 5 ml of glycerol or aloe gel.
How to apply the antiseptic we made correctly? It is recommended to apply the necessary amount on your hands and rub on the inner and outer surfaces of your palms, without forgetting the fingers and nails. It takes at least 30 seconds to do it. In addition to hand handling, the antiseptic is useful for decontaminating the surface of the smartphone, keyboard, door handles. However, it is necessary to sensibly treat the use of alcohol antiseptics, because they dry the skin of the hands with frequent use, so it is worth carrying not only antiseptic, but also moisturizing hand cream.
