From the biography
Leonid Zaitsev’s childhood dreams about the profession went through several steps: first a physical education teacher, then a boxer and eventually an instructor on fitness.
Together with his father he ran for a time, loved skiing in winter, and various games in summer. The father was a master of the sport of boxing, and the son wanted to follow in his footsteps. In school, he dreamed of being like a physical education teacher V.Ya Degtyarev. But after a year of work, Leonid realized that teaching is not his way.
In high school it became clear that the son is not the most promising boxer, and his father, not going to make a champion of him, advised him to choose another matter of life. The parent just wanted the son to be healthy and for his life to be interesting. In 1986 Leonid decided to receive a technical education. He wanted to deal with people, and he started working as a boxing coach and realized that it was more interesting to deal with adults. And there were more successes. In 1997 he supplemented the educational baggage at the Russian Academy of Physical Culture. Here and switched to the wellness direction. At the Department of Rehabilitation I got acquainted with V. N. Seluyanov, the author of the “Isoton” method. They began to conduct experiments in fitness matters. So Leonid came to what he is doing now.
Wonderful educational and professional career of Leonid Zaitsev:
Pilatesdeveloper and one of his Continuers
Even in the middle of the twentieth century German Joseph Pilates developed a system of exercise and, being painful as a child, became a physically strong young man. For many years, he helped to lift the wounded during the war to the feet, and later to recover from the injuries of dancers. Much of what Pilates came to intuitively went on to gain scientific confirmation. The contribution of this man to the world system of recovery is significant. This direction differs from other gymnastic systems with a rehabilitation focus. Now it is one of the most relevant techniques in Europe and America.
L. Zaitsev was fortunate to work with the director of the Pilates Institute in London. This is the famous British coach Michael King, a past dancer. Here’s what Leonid wrote about him in his diary:
Connoisseur and practitioner
Leonid Zaitsev interned at the London Institute. In his opinion, teaching Pilates without a specific education is stupid and quite dangerous. Trainer says:
He is able to thoroughly explain which muscles are involved in different types of walking. He is appreciated by TV viewers of “Live!”. One can be sure that when asked what to do if his back hurts, Leonid will give an unfolded answer.
In his studio is working out a program with a chair, with a stick that can be one of the best home simulators. This is how to adjust its motor activity, increase of efficiency and change of body composition. An important principle is the regulation of the load, which each participant determines himself. First measure the girth of the waist, buttocks and thighs and other indicators that you would like to change.
L. Zaytsev is sure that pelvic floor muscles, clamping muscles and breathing techniques require detailed elaboration. Leonid’s explanations, how to perform tasks, why to perform so, are akin to medical explanations. Classical classes require smooth movements. Coach attributes such behavior to the fact that “often the way we do is more important than what we do.” The first is affected by people’s excitement, but then it is replaced by a general aspiration.
In between training sessions, there are conversations and walks. After class, people play and prepare lunch al fresco and sit down with tea late. They break up as friends.
From personal life
U L. Zaitsev are two sons: Vitaly and Maxim. The younger Max tries to keep up with adults and struggles to do stretch marks.
For several years Leonid lives in a village near Moscow and travels to Moscow for work. In the village, he vacationes, writes, develops new programs and deals with his children. He likes that there he can get to sleep in just four hours and work with great pleasure. Coming there, he feels like a hectic Moscow has stayed far away. Seminars and classes often take place right at his home. Subsequently, a sports hall was built.
Does not know boredom
Leonid has a rule – to spend Saturday at home outside the city with children. His dog, the sheepdog Masha, lived for 14 years and was with his children the whole time. Then he got two alabai puppies. Even before the dogs, a pretty kitten appeared in his house. In the village house, he realized that you wouldn’t miss them.
Leonid had to choose a place for a visiting seminar. His attention was attracted by the village of Chirali. He managed to talk the children into it. It is a unique quiet place between the sea and the mountains, a wonderful sea. Water sports are prohibited here as it is a reserve where turtles live and breed. The younger son quickly became acquainted with the children of yogi and maintenance staff and spent whole days in a circle of new friends.
constantly developing intellectually and professionally coach builds the specifics of his work confidently and self-sufficient. Leonid is a sociable, charming, kind and friendly man. Such character traits help him interact with people and establish their recovery process.
