To reveal human natural abilities, appropriate conditions are necessary. No one will say how many people haven’t realized their talent in that light. But the names of those who were able to overcome obstacles of various kinds are known. Alexander Alekseevich Apollonov is a professional sculptor. His works can be seen in different cities around the world. As a creative person he refrained from compromises with the strengths of this world. It required willpower and firmness of character. As a genuine artist, he did not change his talent for a ringing coin.
The future sculptor came to light on August 11, 1947 in an ordinary Soviet family. The parents at that time lived in the famous town of Frunze, which was within the Kyrgyz SSR. Both mother and father worked on a geological expedition. After retirement they moved to Kuban, where they settled for permanent residence in the city of Krasnodar. Here Alexander graduated and received his secondary education at the local art school. Afterwards, he was called into the armed forces. After serving as it is necessary, Apollonov entered the Moscow State Art Institute.
In 1974 Apollonov received his diploma and came to Krasnodar. Chartered sculptor was hired to work in the Regional Art Works. Here the labor process is long established and settled. Each sculptor received a “planned assignment” that did not always correlate with creativity. The plant regularly received orders for sculptural images of leaders and leaders of production. Such works were distributed among the meritorious workers of the art plant. The first project, which brought Alexander Alekseevich recognition and honorary prize, was implemented in two years. The relief is placed on the facade of the Book House store.
Apollonov’s professional career folded successfully. He tried his hand at different textures. Worked with stone and wood. In the end, he began to prefer bronze. It was this material that was best suited to express the artist’s creative designs. The sculpture of Empress Catherine II became a symbol of Krasnodar. A bust of Vasily Margelov stands in Rostov-on-Don. The belt monument to Admiral Nakhimov is located in Moscow. For several years Apollonov taught the basics of sculptural prowess at the Krasnodar Institute of Culture.
Recognition and personal life
For a great contribution to the development of Russian culture and art Alexander Apollonov was awarded Honorary knowledge “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation”. He was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Senior teaches philosophy. Middle graduated from the conservatory. Junior is involved in industrial design.
Alexander Apollonov tragically died in a car accident on June 13, 2017.
