How to care for the skin under your eyes

The

skin under the eyes is the thinnest, the lipid layer does not protect it, so it ages faster. Sleepless nights, hours spent at a computer, or errors in care leave their mark on her. Fortunately, there are ways to help solve problems and eliminate the effects of cosmetic sins.

Removal of makeup

Perfect removal of cosmetics, is a prerequisite for proper care. If neglected, remnants of mascara and shadows can irritate the conjunctiva and eyelids at night, as well as hinder skin regeneration. There are various preparations designed to remove makeup: two-phase and micellar lotions. Their task is to remove cosmetics and remove irritation at the same time.

Apply a soaked cotton disc to the eyelid and eyelashes, wait a few seconds and move it gently from the outer to the inner corner of the eye – do not rub or stretch the skin. Repeat until the eyelid is completely clean. If you use a gel or foam with which you wash not only your eyes but your entire face, apply a cosmetic product to wet skin, gently massage and finally rinse.

Moisturizing

Apply a special eye cream to clean skin. Such cosmetics have a very light consistency, and quickly absorbs. It is usually also devoid of aromas, because the sensitivity of extremely delicate skin can increase in this place. Instead, they contain vitamins and plant extracts that provide long-term hydration, improve microcirculation, stimulate collagen synthesis and soothe irritations.

In the

evening you can apply a slightly thicker layer of cream under your eyes – it will act as a moisturizing and nourishing mask overnight. Be careful not to stretch your skin – it’s best to apply the cream to your fingertips and stroke it outside inside the eye.

Hide shadows

The shallow vascularization of the skin under the eyes causes unbeautiful bruises – it is most often a hereditary disease. Similarly, hyperpigmentation, that is, excessive production of melanin (skin pigment), whereby the skin around the eyes is darker than the rest of the face. How to deal with such problems? There are special cosmetics that will help you with this.

Vitamin-based eye creams (mainly vitamin C and vitamin K) with added caffeine or plant extracts are ideal — they improve the microcirculation and elasticity of blood vessels, cause them to contract, they prevent swelling and brighten shadows. It’s important to use them regularly and not to be dejected for lack of immediate effects — in a few weeks you’ll be sure to notice them.

Quick rescue

Dark circles that appear after a bad night’s sleep… Red eyes after a long computer work… Dry skin on which wrinkles are more visible… You can quickly deal with each of these problems. Get to cosmetics for special tasks. These may be, for example, collagen eye patches or plant-soaked extracts with strong moisturizing and relaxing properties.

Cosmetics containing microcirculation components, which have a ball-shaped applicator, provide an excellent and fast effect — it provides a relaxing feeling of cool during the light massage around the eyes. It is worth cooling such a cosmetic before using it in the fridge for a few minutes, because that way you will also shorten the vessels. Gel patches work similarly if you previously cooled them in the freezer.
