Steel heating radiators

Steel radiator design

steel radiator is a panel of two welded together in several places of steel sheets. Spot welding areas divide the radiator space and form channels through which the heat carrier, usually hot water, moves. A steel radiator can consist of multiple panels. Sheets from which the panel is made are usually not even, but relief, depressions indicate the places where the panels are welded between each other. Some manufacturers offer flat-panel steel radiators that might be better suited to design your room.

Each steel panel radiator can be identified in two digits according to the generally accepted international classification: the first digit means the number of panels, the second number is the number of fining rows that can be welded to panels to improve heat dissipation.

Steel panel radiators have an interesting design feature: in their interior space it is easy to place tubes that can feed the heat carrier anywhere in the radiator. This feature allows flexible connection of the radiator to central heating. If most radiators of other types connect only from the side and only to the first section, the steel panel radiator can be connected from either section and from either side. In some cases, this property of steel radiators becomes indispensable.

Consumer feedback about steel radiators is mostly positive, which is not surprising, because they have a number of advantages over other radiators, especially if you buy quality radiator with good characteristics, for example, produced in Turkey – the main supplier of steel radiators to the world market.

Advantages of steel radiators

Panel radiators are good in that it is easy to make a radiator of a certain size and a certain shape, and despite the fact that in most apartments are the usual horizontal standard steel radiators, you can find a narrow vertical radiator that fits into your interior.

Despite the fact that the steel radiator can be placed in any part of the apartment, it should be remembered that it will heat the better, the closer to the floor will be to be.

Steel radiators are recommended for private homes as they often have their own high-pressure heating system, which radiators are made of steel will survive without problems, unlike cast iron or aluminum radiators.

The advantage of radiators is also their bright appearance, they can easily be painted in any color, give them any shape, these radiators are best suited to create a unique design.

There are radiators with thermoregulator. With their help you can independently influence the temperature in the apartment.

The description of the steel radiator will be incomplete, unless you mention its hygienic properties: if it is important for you to reduce dust flows in the apartment, it is enough for you to take a steel radiator without fining, and it will produce heat transfer virtually without convection, and therefore without creating air flows moving dust.

Disadvantages of steel radiators

The main disadvantage of steel radiators is the possibility of corrosion of the material. Therefore, we try not to have such radiators in bathrooms. The heat carrier should fully fill the radiator even in the summer (cold), as the risk of starting corrosion processes increases strongly when entering the steel air radiator.
