How to deduce a level

You will need
  • – water level;
  • – pencil;
  • – cord to chop line;
  • – water capacity;
  • – room temperature water.

Start the screed by displaying a horizontal surface, that is, by defining the so-called zero level. For all spaces in which repairs are planned, the horizontal must be the same. Professional builders use laser instruments when determining the horizontal. But in the simplest case you will be bailed out by the water level. But the regionary and linear levels can give too much error in the measurement, so it is not recommended to use them.

Use water level when working. It is two bulbs with a measuring scale connected together by a rubber hose.

Fill the level with water, preventing bubbles. To do this, lower one end of the water level into a bucket of clean water, and pour the liquid through the other flask until the air is completely dislodged from the appliance. To ensure the same level at all measurements, use room temperature water.

Marking the room together with the partner. One of you should attach a water level flask to the first installation risk on the wall. At the same time, “zero” must be displayed on the level scale. The second person then steps away to the other wall, moving the flask so that it also shows zero level on it. Put a second risk in the right place.

Consistently place the label level on all walls of the room. In order to control the level of liquid in the instrument, it is recommended to mark the height from one to one and a half meters. Four marks on the walls of a room may not be enough, so it is best to make marks in two or even three places on each surface.

When all risks are stamped, connect them with a straight line. After that, you will get a plane positioned exactly horizontally. All other measurements are subsequently taken from the drawn baseline. You can use the described method not only when making a tie, but also when mounting a suspended ceiling.
